The Annual Provincial Grand Chapter took place once again at the Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC) in Torquay on Saturday 14th November 2015. The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, E. Comp Simon W. Rowe, welcomed distinguished guests from many other Provinces, and Masonic Orders in Devonshire, along with the hundreds of Companions who made the journey to Torquay to support this important event in our Provincial calendar.
After another superb lunch in the dining hall the Annual Convocation then commenced in the main hall. The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent was pleased to present Certificates of Service to Royal Arch Masonry in Devonshire to E. Comp Mike Lyons, PPGSN, St. John the Baptist Chapter No.39; E. Comp. Ron Preston, PPGSN, Brunswick Chapter No.159; E. Comp R. George Copp, PPGSN, Benevolence Chapter No.489 and E. Comp Wilf Hutchison, PPGReg, Trinity Chapter No.2595.
The Grand Superintendent confirmed and re-appointed E. Comp. Gerald W. Watson, PGStB as the 2nd Provincial Grand Principal; E. Comp. Anthony Morrell, PGStB, as the 3rd Provincial Grand Principal and E. Companion. Christopher A. Roach, PGSwdB as the Deputy Grand Superintendent. The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent thanked E. Comp. Jeff Bailey PGStB, Past 3rd Provincial Grand Principal, for standing in for E. Comp Tony Morrell who was unable to attend due to illness.
He then appointed and invested his Provincial Grand Officers for the ensuing year and conferred Promotions and Past Provincial Grand Ranks on certain Companions. These included, as Provincial Grand Scribe Nehemiah, E. Comp. Joe Sevieri, Harmony Chapter No.156; and, as Provincial Grand Registrar, E. Comp. Martin Heskins of the Brent Chapter No.1284.
