Two Officers of Newton Lodge 6129 today presented Newton Abbot Royal British Legion with a cheque for £259.17.
Worshipful Master, W. Bro. Nick Penwell (Newton Lodge 6129) said:
“The Members of Newton Lodge wished to recognise the outstanding work undertaken by the Newton Abbot branch of the Royal British Legion. All Charitable monies raised last November are therefore being donated to them in ogre to support their vital work offering financial, emotional and social assistance to members of the British armed Forces, both present and past.”
Richard Underhill MBE (Branch Chairman Newton Abbot RBL) responded:
“Donations such as this are still very much needed, and will be for the foreseeable future in supporting the Military ‘Family’. This money will go to the national Poppy Appeal effort. We thank You.”
