W. Bro. Andy Vodden, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, and W. Bro. Chris Bird, Provincial Grand Mentor, of the Education and Mentoring Committee (EdMenCom) with the new booklets for prospective and new members of the Craft.

In attracting new members into Freemasonry they need to be given sufficient information to answer their basic questions. To that end the Province have produced a booklet titled “Discover Freemasonry in Devonshire” to be distributed to prospective members. From this starting point the potential proposer and seconder can explain further the basic principles of Freemasonry. They can also ensure that he shares and understands our basic principles and will fit well into his chosen Lodge.

Having been initiated as he progresses through his degrees he will be given “The Initiate’s, Fellow Craft’s and Master Mason’s Guide” which explain in further detail the structure of Freemasonry.

The guides will be distributed through the Area Mentors for the Lodges in Devonshire or available through the Provincial Office.
