The very successful social evening was attended by nearly 60 Masons and guests enjoying an intensely fought quiz spanning nostalgic musical memories, celebrity pictures, earth and space geography, sport and general knowledge. The quiz master, W Bro David Westlake, Worshipful Master was ably assisted by his wife, Pauline; the Secretary, W Bro Tony Crocker with the Charity Steward, W Bro David Stapley raising a further £215 with a raffle in aid of local charities and good causes.

During the interval, John and Jane Kingdom served a comprehensive buffet with the bar ensuring competitors were adequately lubricated. Afterwards a number of the curious and intrigued were able to view the Temple asking relevant and searching questions of their guide, W Bro Ben Larcombe. Interest in Freemasonry was evident with many myths and misinformation corrected and carefully explained.

The Worshipful Master, W Bro Westlake presented the wooden spoon to the aptly named team “No Chance”.

Photographs during the evening were taken by W Bro Stapley.
