W.Bro Andy Vodden MBE

Andy joined Victory Lodge No. 4189 in Plymouth in 1978 at the age of 23 and served as Worshipful Master in 1993.

He was the Provincial Junior Grand Warden in 2009, an Area Manager for the 2012 Festival, Chairman of the Tercentenary Celebrations in 2017, Trustee of the Benevolent Fund, Provincial Representative initially on the Samaritans Fund and then the MCF and awarded Grand Rank as Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies in 2013, before being promoted to Past Senior Grand Deacon in 2022.

As an Assistant Provincial Grand Master he is currently responsible for Mentoring.

His professional life was spent in the Dockyard, he was awarded an MBE in 1998 for “Services to Energy Conservation” and ended his career as a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

For over 50 years he has Volunteered as a Civilian Instructor in the RAF Air Cadets, running DofE and carrying out Adventure Training.
