Red Teddy was excited to get to Somerset, not only to see the beautiful countryside but to also visit some of the 14 hospitals that TLC donates teddies to across the Province.
Teddy learned that TLC started in Somerset in 2003 and every Accident & Emergency and Minor Injury Unit in the Province receives teddies, with over 50,000 bears being donated to date.
As well as the hospitals, TLC Somerset also provide bereavement bears to all hospices in the county and supports Women’s Refuges.
Teddy had a fabulous tour of the city of Bath! He visited Bath Abbey, one of the finest medieval churches in the country and the World famous Royal Crescent, built by John Wood in 1770. He also visited Pulteney Weir which has regulated the flow of the River Avon through Bath for 500 years and enjoyed shopping on the famous Pulteney Bridge, one of only four Bridges worldwide with shops across the full span on both sides.
After his whistle-stop tour of the Province, Teddy was whisked off to Devon on the back of a motorbike with Somerset Freemason, David Maddern.
