Started in 2020 with just 4 members, there is now a thriving group of 17. They meet every Tuesday during term time, and occasionally during holiday breaks for trips away.
The range of activities the girls do is quite impressive: Cooking (very popular), Camping, 9 mile walks, first aid (including Hypothermia etc.), Teignmouth Remembrance Parade, Paddleboarding, BBQs and coming up…..sleeping with Tigers at Dartmoor Zoo…(we decided we’d leave them alone for that one!).
W. Bro Tony Vile, IPM Newton 6129, said:
“All the activities the girls do costs money that has to be raised, and we hope that the £200 donated will help in giving the girls some great life experiences and adventures.”
Rosie Gitsham, Leader 1st Teignmouth Guides added:
“We thank the Freemasons so much for their valuable funding, it’ll really help cover cost in things that the girls like doing, especially cooking! And also some of the day trips we do, thanks again.”
