Chris Jones will tell you his own story on the attachments below but suffice to say, this is one courageous Freemason who has overcome his own personal nightmares and now has undertaken what most would call an insane task.

Chris Set off from Skegness on the East Coast on New Year’s Day 2023 to walk the entire UK coastline to raise money for the MCF, the Lincolnshire 2025 Festival, and also to raise awareness of mental health issues. When he was having some problems a few years ago, the MCF was the only agency which provided him with tangible and helpful support.

Chris’s challenge is to raise £100,000 for the MCF on the walk which he feels will take at least two years. He is delighted if people join him on the walk, sponsor him or just post messages of support on social media, he has so far walked just short of 4,000 miles.

Part of Chris’s plan is to visit as many lodges as he can when passing near to one that is meeting, if he can’t get to a meeting he will photograph the outside of the lodge building.

One of the problems with undertaking such a mammoth task as this is the solitude and as well as looking for donations he would love to have some Masons accompany him on his walk even for just a couple of miles and as he says below a coffee or a pint even a bed would be welcomed. His route and where he is on any given day can be found via his Email address (above) or by phone (number below).

Chris arrives into Devon on the north Coast from Somerset on Wednesday 10th July, please give him your support..
