The Worshipful Master of St. Peter’s Lodge No. 1125 in Tiverton, Paul Holdsworth, was delighted to present a cheque for £1,000 to Mrs Helen McIntosh, Chair of the Mid Devon Messenger.

Mid Devon Messenger is a local talking newspaper serving people across Mid Devon who have sight loss, chronic illness, or other conditions that make reading difficult. The service helps listeners stay connected with local news, information, and entertainment. It is provided free of charge. The Mid Devon Messenger provides a weekly recording of local news, and also provides a loan of the equipment needed to play the audio newspaper if that is needed.

Receiving the donation, Mrs McIntosh said that the support would allow the charity’s volunteers to focus on providing the service to its listeners.

Paul Holdsworth Said “St Peter’s Lodge is very pleased to support the Mid Devon Messenger. It is a wonderful local service, run by dedicated volunteers, helping people who might otherwise find it difficult to access local news and community information. We are delighted that this donation will help them continue that important work”.

The members of St. Peter’s Lodge are proud to support an organisation making such a practical and positive difference in the local community.
